Peekaboo Baby

I took these while trying to get Gavin to pose for the camera.  Gavin is the happiest baby.  He smiles so much!

First Family Photo of Five

Brayden recently had an awards night for his first year of Cubbies.  He finished the entire book, so he received a little bear pin.  He was such a ham up on the stage for the awards ceremony.  He was jumping up and down, striking poses, taking bows, and flashing his beaming smile for the cameras.  We were so proud of him!  We also attempted our first full family photo with all 5 of us.  Not quite the results we were looking for, but oh well.  The picture surely captures each of the boys.

I always love taking pictures of the boys that show how similar they look as babies.  Recently Gavin began eating rice cereal so I set up one of my favorite shots of all of the boys.

Cubbie Boy

Brayden only has one week of AWANA Cubbies left.  He has really enjoyed going to Cubbies all year.  Last week, they had a special 'bounce house' set up for the kids.  Brayden really enjoyed bouncing with all of his friends.  What a silly guy!

Blackmail Bathtime

A few weeks ago, I visited with Martine and her little girl Samantha.  We decided to put all the kids (not Gavin) in the bath together.  Of course, we had to take some blackmail pictures for when they get older.

He is Risen!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. We kicked it off with a morning dying Easter eggs with Grandma and cousins, and then the Good Friday service at Harvest. Wow, it was so powerful. Christ's saving grace is so amazing. It reaches to so many people of all different walks of life.

We spent Saturday at my parent's house, where Brayden and Landon loved looking for eggs in the front yard. My parents gave Gavin the little bunny hat, which made for a fun photo opportunity. Unfortunately, Landon suffered a black eye, but he was a trooper about it.

Then on Sunday we spent the day at Ronnie's brother's house with all of the family. The cousins enjoyed another egg hunt, where Brayden picked up a harmonica and Landon found a truck. It was a great weekend and the sun was shining the whole time... thanks God!

Caleb Comes to Visit

Last night Kellie and Nate brought over baby Caleb.  Of course, we had to take advantage of the first full cousin picture.  It was amazing how HUGE Gavin looked next to Caleb!  He's twice his size!  It will be so fun to watch them grow up together since they are only 3 months apart.  Ronnie said that Caleb looked like he just got back from Aruba compared to our pale skinned boys!

A Fun Week

It's been a really fun week for us, even though all three boys and I have been sick!  We've spent some time just foolin' around the house, playing in the laundry and closets.

Brayden had his very first haircut!  He's always worn it very long, and I've been the one cutting his hair.  The last few times I cut it, I really wasn't happy with the results.  It just kept turning out like a bowl cut!  So, I took him to a friend to get it cut in a real barber's chair.  It ended up shorter than I like, but hey, it's hair, it grows!  He looks totally different.  The fun thing is that I can use gel and style it.  He likes to call it his "cool dude" haircut.

And, most exciting of all, my sister Kellie had her first baby!  A little boy named Caleb James.  Kellie went through so much with his labor.  Her water broke on April Fools Day, so she went into the hospital, but wasn't having any contractions.  They put her on pitocin to jump start the labor, and she was in early labor for awhile.  Then the contractions started getting really bad, but she wasn't really progressing.  Finally it was time.  She went through 28 hours of labor, and an hour of pushing before they said she needed to have a C-section.  Ahhh!  I can't believe how much she went through.  I am so proud of her.  But now, Caleb is here and he is ADORABLE.   I love my kids so much, but he is the cutest newborn I've ever seen in real life.  Way cuter than my boys came out!  But, don't get me wrong, I love my kids to death!   Caleb has a head full of black hair and just the tiniest little facial features.  Good job, Kellie and Nate!  Oh yeah, he was 6 pounds, 8 oz and 19 inches long.  I'm already in love with my new little nephew!
