Beautiful Wedding Day

Recently, my friend Andrea got married. Brayden was her ring bearer, and I was a bridesmaid. It was the most beautiful wedding I had ever attended. Brayden did a wonderful job as ring bearer, and smiled ear to ear the whole way down the aisle.

Brayden "presenting the rings". He decided this was the pose he would do when the minister said, "May I have the rings, please?"

The whole group. Several of the attendees were friends of ours from Judson, which made it really fun.

Brayden the ring bearer and Makayla the little flower girl. They got along great.

My Kids Have a Superpower

My kids have a superpower.

In just two minutes flat, they are able to destroy an entire home.

It doesn't matter how clean the house is, my super-boys are able to destroy it in just 120 seconds.

If there were a game show called "Destroy This House", my boys would win hands down.

My boys certainly have a superpower. Do yours?

Apple Orchard 2010

What better way to spend a beautiful fall day than at the apple orchard?

Best Buddies!!!

Brayden loved "posing" with the apples that he was preparing to pick.

This year Gavin was able to get in on the action, being just tall enough to reach the apples.

Big blue eyes

Big bite!

Gavin probably ate about 5 apples that day

Reaching out to grab a good one

Take a bite, Landon!

Digging in

A little bit sour!

One last pose before the camera died!

What's So Funny?

Apparently my kids think I'm hilarious.

Here Comes the Ring Bearer!

Brayden is a ring bearer in my friend Andrea's wedding this weekend. We practiced our "pillow holding" and smiling for the camera. Seriously, that mini tux just kills me!

Teacher's Pet

I may be biased, but if this kid were in my class, I think he might just be my "teacher's pet". :)

A Post of Random Pictures

Life has been good in the Follett home. We are getting to know lots of new students here at Judson, and have been to quite a few soccer games sporting our 'Blue Crew' shirts. We've explored and roamed the campus almost every day, and have giggled while chasing the flocks (gaggles?) of geese away. Of course, we've also spent our fair share of time just lying around our house too. :)

The boys continue the constant 'frenemy' relationship...
loving each other immensely one moment...

... and wishing intense bodily harm on the other the next moment.

This is a year of change for us since Landon started preschool five days a week, and Brayden is full-time homeschooling for kindergarten. Here we are at Brayden's first day of "school", which really is a homeschool group that we go to every Friday. He takes classes in science, math, reading, and art there. He's thrilled to go, but Gavin sometimes feels otherwise... :)

Of course, Gavin does spend a fair amount of time with a scowl on his face, but once in a while, I do catch that beautiful/goofy/why is one of his eyes half closed? smile that lights up my days and makes me realize just how very, very blessed we are to have three beautiful boys that God has picked to be in our family.

Rides, Slides, and Potty Breaks

We went with the cousins to Buffalo Grove Days, a little fair/carnival in our area. The boys were allowed to go on two rides each, and they each chose the racecars first. Brayden chose the Giant Slide next, which was my favorite as a kid, and Landon chose Bob the Builder trucks. Gavin chose to sit in the stroller. Actually, not true. Gavin just wasn't tall enough to do anything.

In our two hour visit there, we probably spent 20 of those minutes in the bathroom. Well, not exactly a bathroom per se. All 4 of us (me and boys) climbed into a port o potty while Landon and Brayden took their sweet time to use the bathroom. The glorious moments of being a mother, huh??

Best part of the day for me? Losing Landon's shoes on the charter bus. Oh wait. :) Actually, I truly enjoyed watching the boys giggle and laugh together as I took a shot of all three of them together. I love these little guys so much!
