Pumpkin Farm

One of my favorite fall traditions with the family is to go to the pumpkin farm.  This year Brayden and Landon both had the opportunity to take a field trip to a pumpkin farm (I went with Landon's class-- super fun!), but we wanted to do it as a family too.  The kids really enjoyed the hay ride and climbing the wagon.  They were also determined to get their picture taken in every single face cutout at the farm.  :)   I love fall!!

First Day of School

The boys started school and had mixed feelings about it.  Brayden was THRILLED to go back to school and when I picked him up after his first day, he said "I loved everything about today!!"   He loves his school and his teacher is wonderful!   Landon, on the other hand, was very hesitant (slightly tearful) and really did not want to go inside his classroom.  Slowly but surely Landon is getting adjusted to school and making friends.  He may never be thrilled to go to school, but I am glad he is in a great school with great teachers who love and care for him!

More Summer Fun

Since the boys started school this week (pictures to come), I'm getting around to posting more pictures of our summer fun!  We had the opportunity to spend the weekend at a lake house with several friends and their children.  What a blast!  The kids enjoyed tubing and even water skiing with their 'ski trainer'!  Brayden and Landon were a little timid when we first got out on the lake, but after some coaxing, they got the hang of it!  Gavin, quite surprisingly, was fearless and really enjoyed his time out there.  It was a beautiful weekend and I loved seeing the boys trying something new.

Brayden- learned to dive and flip in the pool.   
Landon- boogie boarded like a pro.  
Gavin- spent most of his time building sand castles.  
Hudson- chased birds like he was getting paid to do it.  
Ronnie- enjoyed Batman at midnight and a few extra hours of sleep.
Christie- took way too many pictures.  

Even with a few bouts of the flu and lots of lost hours of sleep in the van, the week was just heavenly.  Making memories at the beach with my five wonderful men is one of the most precious parts of the year.
