Uh Oh Spaghetti-O!

Like most babies, Hudson likes to try new foods.   He takes a taste here - a taste there of most everything I  put in front of him.  I'm pretty proud of his willingness to eat almost any food.  But, like most babies, he really doesn't eat a ton.  More like nibbles, as if to say, "Eeeh, I guess this will do".   However, there is one food that disappears off of his plate faster than I can put it in front of him.   This kid LOVES his spaghetti.  Honestly, it's like his mouth is a Hoover vacuum cleaner the way he sucks spaghetti down.  It's unreal.  We went to Olive Garden and at 9 months old, Hudson ate more spaghetti than his three older brothers combined.   I kid you not.   I captured Hudson working on his favorite meal... just looking at these photos makes me want to run the bath water.  :)

He is Risen!!

Easter is an amazing celebration.  I love, love, love praising God for what He has done for us through Jesus.  Every year we do the typical Easter traditions-- dying Easter eggs (in which I discovered that my tiny apartment does not easily fit my huge family!), Easter egg hunt (in which I discovered that Gavin can eat more jelly beans than a grown man), and fancy Sunday clothes (in which I discovered that Hudson looks pretty stinking cute in a vest and tie)-- but the true celebration of that day is remembering and celebrating God's redemption plan through Jesus!  It's so amazing, and I am so blessed to be able to say that He has saved me from so much!

Crazy 8

Once upon a time I had a baby boy named Hudson.  He was the most easygoing, laid back baby I've had yet.  He rarely cried, enjoyed just lying/sitting on the ground or being held, and came with me to all of my CYT events (even 2 hour long staff meetings!) without putting up a fuss.  Ronnie and I would have date night... and bring Hudson along!  He simply laid in his carseat next to us at fancy restaurants while Ronnie and I enjoyed our dinner nights out.

And then something crazy happened.

Hudson turned 8 months old.   And when babies turn 8 months old, they learn how to crawl.   And the moment Hudson's chubby little knees hit the floor for the first time, he suddenly shed his sweet, easygoing demeanor and became a stair climbing, toilet paper pulling, Cheerio dumping, front door escaping little crazy boy.

Need proof?  Here are a few photos of the daily crazy things that Hudson does.  It's a good thing he kept that adorable little smile--- because I've got a little crazy on my hands!!!!
